Season 2 of Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown marks the return of Ibiza Town in a free map expansion. With the new season, players can leave Hong Kong Island and hit the sunny streets of Eivissa from Test Drive Unlimited 2, visiting real landmarks in the city’s capital, such as the Santa Maria Cathedral and the Figueretas beach.
Along with a new city to explore, Season 2 brings nine new cars plus new challenges and races run by a returning TDU2 character, who is now the CEO of a mysterious organisation known as Selene.
There are a few restrictions, however. If you don’t meet certain requirements, you can’t access Ibiza immediately.
Here’s how to unlock and access Ibiza in Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.
Reach reputation level 12
If you already own Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown, you’ll need to download and install the Season 2 update before you can access Ibiza. However, even after you’ve installed the update, there are a few restrictions.
To unlock Ibiza, you must reach reputation level 12 or above and join a clan. If you’re new to Solar Crown, there are several ways to increase your reputation and rank up quickly.
One of the easiest ways to rank up is by completing events scattered around the map. Whether it’s a race or a speed trap, completing any event earns you XP, which increases your reputation level.
Another fast way to increase your reputation is by simply exploring the map. Every new road or point of interest you discover, such as dealerships, workshops, meeting points and petrol stations racks up XP points. Bonus XP can also be found in hidden collectables hidden around the map along with Solar Crown Coins.
Join a clan
Once you reach level 12, you’ll be invited to join one of two clans: the Sharps or the Streets. Both clans have different styles, with the Sharps being sophisticated and the Streets having a more underground culture.
Each clan has a unique headquarters on the map, with the Sharps meeting in a luxurious hotel restaurant and the Streets congregating in a nightclub. Simply visit the respective headquarters marked on the map to join a clan. Before becoming a member, you must also win a head-to-head race against the Sharps or Streets clan boss.
How to travel to Ibiza in Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown
Once you reach the required reputation level and join a clan, you’ll receive a call from Angie Graham inviting you to join the Selene competition in Ibiza hosted by Tess Wintory, who returns from Test Drive Unlimited 2.
After the call, a heliport location will appear in the northern part of Hong Kong Island. You can’t fast travel to this location, so set a waypoint and drive to the heliport. You can find it in this location on the map:
Park at the heliport and press X on the PlayStation controller/A on the Xbox controller to automatically fly to Ibiza Town. You’ll start at the new social hub, where you can interact with other players, change clothes and buy Season 2-exclusive cars at the dealership.
If you want to fly back to Hong Kong Island, another heliport appears on the Ibiza map.
