The release date for the upcoming Hot Wheels Unleashed racer by Milestone is getting closer and closer, nearly two months away now. We’ve had a number of teases already, plus some hands on over here at Traxion with some early gameplay footage. As the anticipation continues to grow, another new video has the team pumped for what’s to come.

57 of the 66 cars that will be in the new game at launch have now been posted publicly with Monday’s new Diecast trailer. The big news in that is the addition of some real manufacturers as well as a handful of widely-known entertainment-based cars, all portrayed in the style of a Hot Wheels diecast.

20 new toy cars were added to the announced roster with some well-known brands such as Chevrolet, Dodge, Audi, Ford, and even Koenigsegg. 37 Hot Wheels originals have been unveiled through promotional footage and press releases as well and can all be viewed over on the official site.

Batmobile Hot Wheels Unleashed

There are some well-known pop culture references on this roster. The DeLorean Time Machine from Back to the Future, K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider, and Batman’s trusty all-purpose Batmobile will all be included at launch.

I know Tom is pretty stoked for K.I.T.T. while as an El Camino owner, that ’71 El has me completely sold. The great part is that they all look like they’ve come right out of a blister pack on a local supermarket shelf. There’s also something for Hot Wheels AcceleRacers fans, with the RD-02.

Milestone also revealed that there will be an upgrade system for vehicles in the game called the Rarity System. Collect, dismantle, and improve vehicle performance via upgrades, some of which will be discovered in unique ways. There are still a few more cars on the roster coming soon, so we will have to wait to see about those in the next couple of months.

If you haven’t already, check out the trailer below. Hot Wheels Unleashed launches on 30th September on all major platforms.
