  • Assetto Corsa Rally’s v0.3 update will feature the Škoda Fabia Rally2 and
  • Rallye Monte Carlo’s La Bollène-Vésubie and Sisteron stages also to appear
  • First time mixed surface wintry tests have appeared in AC Rally
  • Chances of snow and ice are dependent on real-world parameters

Assetto Corsa Rally’s next update is set to feature the Lancia Fulvia Coupe HF 1600, it was revealed today (19th February 2026).

Developers Supernova Games Studios and Kunos Simulazioni had already revealed that two cars and two classic Rallye Monte Carlo stages would form the bulk of the title’s next update, but this is the first time the historic ‘70s car has been showcased.

New cars

The Fulvia won the International Championship for Manufacturers in 1972, a year before the series transitioned into the World Rally Championship, and won the Monte Carlo Rally in the same year, with its front-wheel drive proving to offer greater traction on the event’s icy hairpin bends.

Producing around 160 bhp, the Fulvia emits a sonorous exhaust note from its V4 motor, with disc brakes and a five-speed gearbox helping it to rally glory. Weighing just over 800 Kg, the Fulvia was as agile as it was beautiful when it emerged onto the motorsport scene, before it was usurped by Lancia’s more powerful Group 4 Stratos.

The other car set for v0.3, the Škoda Fabia Rally2, was teased nearly a fortnight ago, ensuring that one of the WRC2 category’s most successful machines will also be in the game.

New stages

The two Monte Carlo stages, La Bollène-Vésubie and Sisteron, will feature classic Monte-style mixed surface options, meaning drivers will have to negotiate verglas, snow and water-covered patches on their iconic asphalt.

La Bollène-Vésubie also includes the historic Col de Truini section, a rallying Mecca for bobblehatters across the globe.

More importantly, Supernova has confirmed that the stages will feature realistic dynamic snowy conditions – possibly a first in sim rallying – with snow and ice forming throughout based on pre-set or randomised parameters.

This means players will have to pay attention to weather forecasts before each stage to ensure they make the correct tyre choice, with warmer conditions at lower altitudes complemented by an increased chance of ice and snow at higher elevations.

The chances of snow and ice appearing on these stages are dependent on the following parameters (when dynamic weather is selected):

  • Location in the world (ambient temp will be higher in Southern locations)
  • Time of day (gets colder after sunset)
  • Altitude (temp decreases with altitude)
  • Snow starts falling when it’s raining and the temperature is below zero centigrade

For the moment, snow will only be enabled for the Monte stages (outside of the Livigno Circuit), with players able to mix and match the brand-new studded (snow) tyres with asphalt rubber, just like in the real-world event.

A release date for AC Rally’s v0.3 update has not yet been announced, although the end of this month has been targeted.
