Gran Turismo World Series’ second Nations Cup round is this Sunday

12 of the world’s quickest Gran Turismo 7 drivers will go head-to-head for Nations Cup points in a special homologation Porsche this weekend.

Gran Turismo World Series’ second Nations Cup round is this Sunday

Following the recent Manufacturers Cup race, won by Igor Fraga and Toyota, this weekend it’s the turn of the Nations Cup to return to the Gran Turismo World Series scene.

In a surprise appearance, the uber-rare Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion ’97 – the road-going homologation special – will be used by all competitors, currently retailing for ~9 million credits in the Legend Cars pavilion.

Once again, the 24h layout of Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps will be used, for 12 laps on full racing slick tyres.

The driver line-up consists of the top 12 competitors from August’s World Series Showdown event, where Kylian Drumont took a shock victory

Thus, he returns for Round 2, looking to score further World Series points for France. Fraga will also return to the grid, alongside Brazil’s Lucas Bonelli who won the opening Nations Cup round earlier this year.

Gran Turismo World Series Bonus Round 2

Gran Turismo 7’s Bonus Campaign continues, where a correct guess of the winner could net you 500,000 in-game credits. Simply visit the ‘Predict the Winner’s section of the World Map.

The pre-recorded race will be viewable on the Gran Turismo TV YouTube Channel from 2 pm BST / 3 pm CEST / 6 am PT / 9 am ET, Sunday 9th October.
