You could watch the World Finals for the 2023 Gran Turismo World Series esports competition, as tickets are now on sale.

Held in Barcelona, Spain, between Friday 1st December and Sunday 3rd December, Polyphony Digital will take over the Fira Barcelona Montjuic venue.

There, the world’s quickest Gran Turismo 7 racers over the age of 18 will take part in grand finales across three competitions: TOYOTA GAZOO Racing GT Cup, Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup.

New for this season, the Nations Cup is now a team-based competition like the Manufacturers Cup, while the Toyota championship is now the only solo-driver series.

The competitors for the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup are already long since locked-in, scoring points across the year including a recent in-person Showdown event in Amsterdam. There, Porsche won the Manufacturers’ race and Spain the Nations’, with Jose Serrano in both winning teams.

A general admission ticket for one of the three days is €15 and includes an event poster. There’s also a ‘gold’ ticket for €30 that includes admission, the poster and a T-shirt. It will also allow earlier access to watch the media Pro-Am race… did we mention that we finished third at the August event?

The ultimate level is the €50 ‘platinum’ ticket which includes all the benefits of the gold level but throws in the signature of series producer Kazunori Yamauchi on the post and access to all three days of action.

10 years of Vision Gran Turismo

Hard to believe that it’s been a decade since the first Vision Gran Turismo concept, where car manufacturers create a vehicle specifically for Gran Turismo. In the case of McLaren, the company even went on the create some for a few lucky customers in the real world.

At last year’s World Finals, the Ferrari Vision GT was unveiled, could we expect a similar surprise this year? What we do know is there will be a 10-year celebration display for VGT, with some of the previous models on display at the Spanish venue.

There will also be a GT Café area for visitors to try Gran Turismo 7 with PSVR2.
