A server maintenance notice by the game’s developers Polyphony Digital has revealed that the next patch is scheduled for Thursday 27th April 2023.
The game will be offline between:
- 27th April 2023, 06:00 – 08:00 UTC
- 27th April 2023, 07:00 – 09:00 BST
Strangely, a few days out from release, series producer Kazunori Yamauchi has not tweeted a shadowy teaser image, which is the expected process.
However, there has already been formal confirmation that this season’s Super Formula cars will arrive before the end of this month.
Super Formula is a Japan-based real-world open-wheeler championship that is hotly contested. Formula 1 hopeful and Red Bull Racing driver Liam Lawson, for example, is currently competing in this championship, and IndyCar stars Felix Rosenqvist, Álex Palou, and Pato O’Ward have all taken part in prior seasons.
The Dallara SF23 will be available in two editions: with a Toyota engine or with a Honda engine.
They will arrive in two distinctive paint schemes, codenamed ‘Red Tiger’ and ‘White Tiger’, with a community-focused ‘Gran Turismo 7 Livery Contest’ planned for the cars post-release.
It follows the SF19 which is already included in Gran Turismo 7, which also means another car with a push-to-pass system, but has upgraded aerodynamics and a chassis made from Bcomp bio-composite materials.
If there are any further cars, new tracks or quality-of-life features are announced, we’ll let you know as the next update approaches.
