The first major update for Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport has been released, addressing several reported bugs since the game’s unveiling.
Released on the 10th of October (Deluxe and Premium Edition owners were allowed access as early as the 4th of October), Forza Motorsport’s ‘v1.0 Update’ is set to prevent a number of game stability issues to fix game crashes.
In our review, we found Forza Motorsport’s overall experience to be fairly shallow, labelling the multiplayer mode as its “saving grace,” so players will be glad to know the game’s online platform has come in for attention too.
An issue where the wrong Safety and Driver Skill Ratings were being used for matchmaking has been fixed, with players now also able to download and save rivals’ custom paint liveries before a Private Multiplayer race.
Perhaps the most important fix – barring the aforementioned game crash issues – is the re-adjustment of car parts unlocked during Builder’s Cup series. This will allow players to choose from a greater amount of upgrade options from an earlier stage than before. Turn 10 has also stated that most car parts can be unlocked in a single Builder’s Cup series, reducing the grind.

An Xbox Series X|S bug that created a washed-out look to the game’s visuals has also been addressed, showing off the game’s graphics in a more natural light. Wet tyre wear rates in moderately wet conditions have been tweaked and occasional game save problems have also been resolved. .
