Playground Games has announced that a future Forza Horizon 6 series update will feature a “special collaboration” with 7-Eleven.
These will include an evolving world and EventLab items based on the popular Japanese convenience store chain. More details about the partnership are being kept under wraps until it launches in October’s series update.
Before then, the next series update will release on 7th September. Headlining this update will be a new Drift Attack mode, challenging players to rack up the most drift points.
Separating this from standard Drift Zones are ‘Clipping Zones’ that reward bonus points for drifting within the boundaries, with no lap limits. In-world and Convoy leaderboards will be supported, and the events will take place at the Shimanoyama Circuit, which will be a permanent location for Drift Attack. A yellow Horizon Festival Wristband will be required to enter Drift Attack events.
Drift Attack events will also be added to the campaign, with a 1990 Jaguar XJ-S Forza Edition prize car tuned for drifting to unlock. A standard version of this car will also be available to purchase in the Autoshow.
Gamescom visitors can try out the Drift Attack mode before its release at the Xbox booth, where a 7-Eleven-themed vehicle is also on display.
Additionally, this series update will also add a British Automotive event on 10th September featuring three new-to-Forza Horizon British cars to unlock in the Festival Playlist and four new-to-Forza Horizon cars for Car Pass owners, alongside dealership discounts on British cars.
