It’s the biggest racing game event of the year. Forza Horizon 6’s release date was formally revealed last week, and we saw some impressive in-game footage for the very first time.
Inevitably, with such flashy gameplay footage and the knowledge that FH 6 is ditching Xbox One compatibility, there will be questions surrounding the game’s minimum system requirements, with players deciding whether or not their creaking systems will be able to cope with the visual cornucopia concocted by Playground Games.
According to Steam, FH 6’s minimum system requirements suggest players will need double the RAM (16 GB) of the game’s predecessor, Forza Horizon 5, with higher-spec CPUs and graphics cards additionally mandated.
A solid-state hard drive is also a minimum requirement.
Given the sky-high prices of PC componentry today (especially RAM!) FH 6 could well be a surprisingly expensive experience for many desktop players when it releases on the 19th May 2026.
