Formula Legends has received its second paid DLC, with the Tech Pack containing three new cars “inspired by real-world technological breakthroughs”: the TramTram Cyclone, Fyrex Mid 70 and Jorsey BeeSting.

Out now, the DLC is priced at £3.99 / $3.99 / €3.99.

From the late 1970s, the TramTram Cyclone features a prominent, downforce-generating rear fan. This suggests it’s based on the Brabham BT46B, which only raced once in this experimental configuration during the 1978 Swedish Grand Prix.

It’s joined by the Fyrex Mid 70, which sports six wheels, with four at the front, and is adorned with a bold blue livery. Its distinctive design resembles the Tyrrell P34, which raced in 1976 and 1977.

Finally, the Jorsey Late90 is inspired by the Jordon 198, which utilised the short-lived ‘X-wings’ to generate extra downforce until they were banned after four races in the 1998 season. The helmet also resembles the design worn by Damon Hill, who drove the Jordon 198 in the 1998 season.

Formula Legends’ second DLC follows the Raw Power pack released in October.

The diminutive retro racer launched in September on PC and consoles, with cars and tracks inspired by different Formula 1 eras from the 1970s to the present. Its unpredictable handling was criticised at launch, leading to a new handling option being introduced in a patch update.

Future updates are expected to rebalance the game’s difficulty levels and improve the AI opponent behaviours.
