The new Tech Pack DLC also arrives today, adding three cars inspired by experimental icons.

Formula Legends to add online multiplayer and steering wheel support

Formula Legends, the diminutive Formula 1-inspired racer, will add online multiplayer in early 2026, developer 3D Clouds has announced. It’s one of several requested features currently absent in the game set to arrive in future updates, including steering wheel support.

In the meantime, a new update released today (20th November) brings a wealth of improvements. Chiefly, the AI, one of the game’s weakest aspects at launch, is now “more agile and reactive” to changing weather and track conditions. Difficulty is also rebalanced, with more varied difficulty levels and a new ‘Very Hard’ setting.

Elsewhere, the UI is enhanced with new indicators showing the delta time, last lap and fastest lap. The camera and HUD are also now fully customisable, allowing players to adjust the cockpit angle and field of view and enable or disable every UI element.

“I could not be prouder of the Formula Legends team at 3DCLouds,” said Francesco Bruschi, CEO of 3DClouds. “Our small team of racing enthusiasts has created a simcade racer that channels the best of open-wheeled motorsport history and it’s only getting bigger and better!”

“Since launch we’ve added a steady stream of game improvements and features and we are nowhere near done with Formula Legends. There are really big plans ahead, including the addition of online multiplayer in early 2026.”

Alongside the update, Formula Legends’ second DLC pack also launches today. Priced at £3.99 / $3.99 / €3,99, the Tech PackFormula Legends Tech Pack DLC adds three experimental cars adds three fictional cars: the Tram Tram Late 60s, Fyrex Mid 70s and Jorsey Late 90s.

Each is inspired by experimental Formula 1 cars, like the Brabham BT46B with its gaping rear fan, the six-wheeled Tyrrell P34 and the Jordon 198, which sported ‘X-Wings’ to generate extra downforce.

The Tech Pack is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S, with the DLC set to be released on Nintendo Switch next month.
