We’ve already been given sneaky peaks at some of the cars in Le Mans Ultimate’s GTE and Hypercar classes; including the Ferrari 488 GTE, Peugeot 9X8 LMH and Porsche 963 LMDh.

Today (12th October 2023), however, Studio 397 has revealed the LMP2 class for the very first time.

Showcasing the #22 and #23 United Autosport cars around the previously announced Spa-Francorchamps circuit – replete with 2022 upgrades – the Oreca 07 LMP2 has received a significant upgrade on its rFactor 2 progenitors.

Indeed Studio 397 planned to completely rebuild the Oreca 07 for Le Mans Ultimate, citing the implementation of new materials and more detailed textures as the chief reason.

The Oreca 07 was first used in the WEC’s 2017 season, quickly becoming the dominant LMP2 chassis on the grid to the point where it is the only one represented in the 2023 WEC.

The 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship season has gone well for United Autosports, with the Anglo-American team taking two wins and a total of five podiums across the series’ six rounds to date.

Things could go even better in the final round of the season, with the #22 car of Phil Hanson, Frederick Lubin and Filipe Albuquerque holding an outside chance of claiming the LMP2 title at the 8 Hours of Bahrain next month.

Le Mans Ultimate is available to Wishlist on Steam now.
