Yet more cars have been teased for Tokyo Xtreme Racer’s v1.0 release this autumn, with developer Genki confirming that the Toyota GR Supra (DB06) is on its way.

The fifth-gen Supra, which was co-developed with the BMW Z4 Roadster, began life in 2019, and uses either a two-litre, four-cylinder engine, or a straight-six, three-litre motor, both derived from BMW.

In its most powerful form, the Supra will accelerate from 0-60 mph in a swift 4.1s, but the way the two-seater looks is possibly its biggest selling point, with a squat, aggressive-looking stance ripe for modifying in-game.

The Supra will be joined by the Toyota GR Yaris, Nissan Z, Nissan Skyline 2000 GT-R and the Lexus RC F, with more cars expected to be announced.

Tokyo Xtreme Racer: Lexus LC revealed

As ever, no TXR teaser would be complete without a sneak peek of another car, and the Lexus LC can be seen at the end of the Supra showcase video.

The Lexus is a suave-looking two-door coupe powered by a V8 engine. It’s not necessarily designed to be sporty (‘LC’ stands for ‘Luxury Coupe’, after all), but it has more than enough power (471 bhp in top-spec, LC500 non-hybrid trim) to create an exciting driving experience.

The LC is built at Toyota’s Motomachi facility in Japan, the same place where the incredible Lexus LFA was conceived, and forms the basis of the firm’s LC500 Super GT contender.
