Ferrari cars coming to RaceRoom for the first time

Following yesterday’s launch of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, RaceRoom Racing Experience will also be receiving some new cars soon, namely from Ferrari.

The Maranello-based supercar manufacturer has been absent from the PC sim racing platform since its inception in 2013. However, ahead of the upcoming DTM Esports season, it’s been announced that the Prancing Horse will make an appearance soon.

The deal will start with the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo 2020 and it will be part of an upcoming Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters Esports downloadable content pack. It utilises a mid-mounted 3.9-litre V8 sending power to the rear wheels and has been used successfully to win across multiple GT3-based championships.

The DTM Esports season began recently with a series of shootout events to help determine the grid, with the first round on 24th February. In the real-world 2021 DTM season, a variant of the Ferrari was driven by Alex Albon, Nick Cassidy and Liam Lawson.

For now, there is only a teaser featuring the famous Cavallino Rampante logo, but we hope to see more details soon to tie in with DTM Esports.
