Fanatec will launch new software in 2025, consolidating three apps

Fanatec’s new universal app will replace the current mobile app, PC FanaLab, and control panel for a more streamlined experience.

As well as showcasing several new sim racing peripherals at the ADAC SimRacing Expo 2024, Fanatec has previewed new software launching next year that will replace the company’s current apps.

Currently, Fanatec users can download three apps: a mobile app, the PC FanaLab for finetuning settings such as force feedback strength, and a Fanatec control panel for installing drivers.

From 2025, these will be combined into a new universal Fanatec app, making it easier to access settings.

All features from previous apps/software will be combined into a universal app for PC and mobile with a consistent user interface design. Previewed at the ADAC SimRacing Expo 2024, the new interface will use yellow accents to match the web store.

Configuring settings will be far less convoluted by combining everything into one app. For example, mouse emulation settings or device tests are currently in the control panel, while vibration settings are in FanaLab. Tuning settings were accessible in both. Next year, these settings will be available in a single place.

Fanatec’s currently unnamed app will also introduce a new feature allowing users to create automatic wheel LED profiles for each car and sim, aligning in-game shift lights with the Fanatec wheel.

This includes the direction of the LEDs and the RPM when they light up. Mercifully, this means no more downloading LED profiles from a forum and installing it manually.

Fanatec claims it will listen to customer feedback and implement further new features throughout the next year and beyond. The new app is expected next year, but a release date has yet to be confirmed.

Now under the Corsair umbrella, Fanatec is making a celebrated comeback after a turbulent period.

Several new products were showcased at the ADAC SimRacing Expo 2024, including the CSL Elite Steering Wheel Porsche Vision Gran Turismo, the ClubSport V2 Handbrake, a new cockpit, and, finally, the premium Podium Steering Wheel Bentley GT3 is now set for an imminent release.
