The future of the series may be in question, but F1 Manager 2024’s recent additional features have moved the needle in terms of simultaneous players.
Looking at third-party PC player tracker Steam Charts, the number of concurrent users just two days ago, 26th February, hit its highest number since September 2024, which closely followed the title’s 23rd July release date.
A new recent peak of 2,988 players was hit, up from ~1,000 in the weeks prior.

The third game in the yearly sports series, the current game followed F1 Manager 2023, which was publicly lambasted by leadership at its creators Frontier Developments for sales “below expectations.”
The same data also suggests that, generally, more people have been playing F1 Manager 2024 than its immediate predecessor across its life so far – on PC at least.
While we can look at PC numbers, the franchise is on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, plus it debuted on Nintendo Switch this time. Even on PC, it is also available on the Epic Games Store, figures not counted on Steam Charts.
A comprehensive free update was released for the current F1 Manager game on 25th February, that included the ability to customise the season-starting driver line-ups across the grid in Create A Team mode.
It also allows for the customisation of the race calendar, the creation of fictional personnel and ruleset tweaking in the most extensive suite of options the series has yet seen.
The company’s 2024 financial year report talked of “discussions with an IP partner resulted in the voluntary termination of a contract for a future game before full development started,” before financial services group Zeus Capital confirmed that statement “relates to F1 Manager 2025 that would have been released in FY26.”
