F1 Manager 2024 update fixes Colapinto for consoles

A new update has been released for F1 Manager 2024 on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, addressing numerous minor issues with Frontier Developments’ impressive Formula 1 Team Principal simulator.

A v1.6 update dropped for the PC version last week, with v1.7 now incorporating all those changes – and more – on console (Xbox and PlayStation users can download the update now, with the Nintendo Switch patch arriving shortly).

The most eye-catching change is the corrected spelling of Williams’ new F1 driver Franco Colapinto (formerly known as Franco Colopinto), which arrived just in time for the Italian Grand Prix for PC users.

However, there has also been a plethora of bug fixes and game-balancing adjustments, including tweaks to the game’s mentality, car development and sponsorship mechanics. 

Perhaps the biggest quality-of-life improvement has been the ability to hide the game’s user interface during a race, making it far easier to capture attractive-looking screenshots of your car in action (which would’ve been a handy feature for our review!).

Four new affiliate drivers have also been added to the game, including Finnish Karting World Championship champion Tuukka Taponen, with a few more of F1 Manager 2024’s game-breaking bugs also squashed.
