During a Twitter Spaces live chat on Tuesday (6th September 2022), the F1 Manager 2022 Community Managers from Frontier Developments, Chris Groves and Steve James, sat down to chat about the next planned update for the title.

The 1.7 update will be based on feedback from the community, through mediums such as the game’s Discord and Reddit, since the initial launch of the title.

F1 Manager 2022 strategy

While they can’t fix or get to everything just yet, it’s said that these are some of the big areas that were looked to be addressed first.

Areas that will see improvement, per the Space, include Tyre Performance, Car Behavior and Fuel Delta. For those of us with widescreen monitors, UI placement will be looked at. The balance of Car Parts will be possibly tweaked as well.

With Tire Performance, the Frontier team is looking at making the performance drop-off more realistic per compound, such as what times should be seen with a fresh tire versus a tire degraded heavily. Blue flags will hopefully be acknowledged better by the computer.

These are just the big changes and fixes that are planned for the upcoming update. There are other planned fixes that will be included and shared through a set of patch notes closer to the release. It is hoped that the 1.7 update will land between 19th September and 23rd September.
