F1 Clash, the mobile-based Formula 1 strategy and management game, has announced its 2023 season reset has gone live.
To balance progress and produce a level playing field for new players, current players’ progress (excluding earned progression points from the 2022 season) will now be reset.
As well as featuring updated statistics, drivers, cars and tracks to represent the official 2023 F1 season, the game has dispensed with its Fuel Management mechanic and replaced it with a new ‘Power Unit’ system, ensuring players don’t grind to a halt before the chequered flag.
This allows players to switch engine modes in-game. Neutral charges your car’s power allowance at a moderate rate with steady pace; power save increases the recharge rate at the expense of performance; while the fast engine mode provides the best performance but depletes the power bar much quicker.
Naturally, veteran F1 Clash players won’t be left unrewarded as they can use their 2022 season CC points in the game’s store, aiding progression in the 2023 version of the game in a balanced fashion; returning players will be able to use CC points to unlock newly revised componentry, providing a modest head-start on the competition.
F1 Clash’s first 2023 event
Developed by British studio Hutch, F1 Clash is available to download now from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for iOS and Android mobile devices respectively. F1 Clash is free to download and play but does feature voluntary microtransactions.
“We know that entering into any competitive game can be intimidating for new players, so we are giving everyone an equal chance to compete with the new season of F1® Clash,” said Doruk Erisen, Game Director at Hutch.
“We’re giving players the most content-rich season to date, alongside a balanced starting point for new players, to ensure there has never been a better time to get behind the wheel,” he continued.
The update has rolled out just in time for the first F1 Clash GP Event of the new season, which runs from the 17th-21st May.
