F1 25’s full driver list revealed, includes F3 drivers for the first time

For the first time since F1 2020, My Team is getting a significant revamp in F1 25. You can no longer create a custom driver and race as yourself in My Team, though you can still do this in Driver Career. Instead, you play as a team owner managing a team of two contracted drivers, choosing who to drive in each race. 

Now, Codemasters and EA have unveiled the full list of drivers you can recruit and race as in F1 25’s My Team and Driver Career modes.   

Naturally, all 20 drivers from the 2025 Formula 1 championship are featured, including the promising young rookies Kimi Antonelli and Oliver Bearman, with the Haas driver starring on the Standard Edition cover. It remains to be seen if Red Bull’s driver lineup will be updated with Yuki Tsunoda replacing Liam Lawson.

Notably, Formula 3 drivers make their first appearance in My Team, but only four out of the 30 drivers make the cut at launch, and they are exclusive to the deluxe Iconic Edition. Ironically, F3’s current championship leader, Trident’s Rafael Câmara, is absent, and you can’t drive any F3 cars. Let’s hope updates can add more F3 drivers to complete the lineup.  

Elsewhere, iconic drivers from F1’s 75-year history return from F1 24. For the first time, rival AI teams can hire driver icons in My Team or Driver Career, so you may find yourself racing against the likes of Michael Schumacher or Ayrton Senna in modern F1 cars. There are no new driver icons in F1 25 at launch, but more may be added in future updates.

You can also hire and race as real-world drivers from the F1 Sim Racing esports series, including Lucas Blakeley and Brendon Leigh. Oddly, Frede Rasmussen, who won the 2023 and 2024 championships, is missing, making him the only esports champion not to feature in F1 25.  

For the first time, you can also create a team with Aiden Jackson and Callie Mayer, who return in F1 25’s new Braking Point 3 story mode, from the fictional Konnersport team.
