The latest official Formula 1 video game, EA SPORTS F1 25, will be released on 30th May 2025 – but what time can you start playing and can you start downloading it ahead of time?

For those who pre-order the digital version of F1 25, standard or iconic edition, you’ll be able to download the game ahead of its release – to be clear, you won’t be able to play it on the dates and times below, but rather just install. Still, it helps save time when the time to play begins.

• Iconic Edition: 25th May, 15:00 UTC
• Standard Edition: 28th May, 15:00 UTC

F1 25 Xbox Series X|S pre-load dates and times

• Iconic Edition: 15th May, 10:00 UTC
• Standard Edition: 15th May, 10:00 UTC

F1 25 launch times and dates

Once you’ve pre-ordered and pre-loaded, then there is the launch time and date, which is when you can first start playing F1 25. This varies depending on which edition you purchase.

The standard game releases on 30th May, but the Iconic Edition unlocks earlier on 27th May 2025. The timings below apply to all PC, PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
