During Gamescom 2025, the team behind nascent sim Rennsport revealed a few nuggets of information about its upcoming v1.0 unveiling.

Below, we’ve collated the key details as the game moves towards a Q4 2025 release window on PC and console. If you just want a brief summary, check out the TL;DR at the bottom of this article.

Boxed Version contents

The game will initially ship as a Standard Version, which will include 18 cars and 13 tracks, with the Deluxe Version also including the Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport car and the Nurburgring Nordschleife track, plus two post-release DLC packs.

The Deluxe and Standard Versions will be made available at the same time on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in ‘Q4 2025’.

Rennsport DLC

The Deluxe Version of the game will also include the following DLC packs:

  • Rennsport Endurance Classic Part 1 DLC
  • Rennsport Touring Classics Part 1 DLC

Two DLC Packs will be released for Rennsport, with Endurance Classics Part 1 arriving in December 2025, while the Touring Classics Part 1 DLC will be made available in early 2026.

During Rennsport’s most recent ‘Radio Check’ vlog, the team revealed that the Porsche 956 Group C car would form part of the Endurance Classic Part 1 pack, with at least three classic DTM cars following in the Touring Classics Part 1

According to Competition Company CEO Morris Hebecker, the identity of the cars could be three from the following five: the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI, the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evo II, the  BMW M3 E30, the 2005 Audi A4 and the 2000 Mercedes-Benz CLK.

Pre-ordering either edition will grant players the Ford Mustang GT3 plus an exclusive livery and a 72-hour early game unlock period (the Mustang is currently only available via pre-order).

Rennsport v1.0 price

Rennsport Standard Version cost

  •  €49.99 on PC, €59.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

Rennsport Deluxe Version cost

  •  €69.99 on PC, €79.99 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S

New pricing model

Perhaps the biggest news to come from Rennsport this week was the overhaul of its confusing in-game currency and Founder’s Pack systems.

The game will no longer use its own ‘RENN$’ currency for car purchases. If players have any RENN$ balance remaining, we understand that this can be used to purchase cosmetic items when the game hits v1.0. Your

PC players who have already purchased Gold or Platinum Founder’s Packs will be given free access to the Standard Version of the game when it hits v1.0. Diamond backers will receive access to the Deluxe Version. Your RENN$ balance will also carry over between PC and console versions.

One key fact is that any content you have purchased for Rennsport on PC won’t be lost when you move to v1.0, but as far as we know, this isn’t interchangeable with the console versions of the game (unlike RENN$).

Rennsport to ditch ‘free-to-play’ pricing model

Rennsport’s technical performance on console

Rennsport is set to run at 60 fps when upscaled to 4K on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, while it is set to run at 40 fps on Series S consoles. The game, however, will run at a native 4K on PS5 Pro consoles.

Rennsport will also use the same physics engine across PC and console editions.

Will Rennsport have VR?

Apparently, yes. Although VR has not been confirmed for the v1.0 release, Rennsport has confirmed it is being evaluated.
“We still want to enable VR, but right now the focus is on creating the launch, making sure we can launch Rennsport on PC and consoles,” stated Creative Director Kim Orremark. “After that, we have a plan to pick up the VR work we started. We also now have the opportunity on PlayStation for PlayStation VR [PS VR2 headsets], so we’re going to go into that with renewed effort,” he concluded.

“VR will be a bigger thing, which we would like to bring back to Rennsport when we are able to have it on console and PC,” commented Competition Company CEO Morris Hebecker.
