- New double trailer Driving Academy module arriving in v1.58 update
- Coming to both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator
A new module is set to be added to Euro Truck Simulator 2’s Driver Academy mode, it has been revealed.
The latest driver training tool for SCS Software’s trucking title will focus on manoeuvring double trailers, so if parking up a normal truck brings you out in a cold sweat, this is guaranteed to test your mettle.
A sequence of challenging scenarios will feature in the new module across three chapters, with the first focusing on forward-facing driving manoeuvres before moving on to more challenging reversing techniques.
The third concentrates on real-world scenarios and ramps up the difficulty further, all using the Euro Combi trailer. ETS 2’s sister title, American Truck Simulator, will also receive the new Driving Academy mode, but using the B-Double trailer.
In terms of rewards, completing all 12 challenges will gain you a plush little dog toy to adorn your cockpit and a ‘Double Trouble’ achievement.
The new double trailer module will arrive as part of ETS 2’s v1.58 update, with a release date yet to be announced.
