The race to rework classic parts of Euro Truck Simulator 2’s in-game map is on, as Czech developer SCS Software reveals more information on the German portion of its swathe of map improvements.

Focusing on the town of Winsen, near Hamburg, Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS 2) will take advantage of its close ties to trailer manufacturer Feldbinder by bringing one of its factories to the game.

This will include two new interactive depots on the 90 square kilometre site, with the surrounding road network set to be re-jigged to incorporate the new destination.

Although Feldbinder’s Winsen headquarters is home to the management and administrative parts of the business, its shop floor concentrates on the processing of aluminium for silo trailers (think petrol and gas tankers) for its wide range of products; some of which can already be found in-game as part of ETS 2’s Feldbinder Trailer Pack DLC.

Feldbinder’s Winsen factory will arrive in the v1.48 update of ETS 2, with owners of the Feldbinder Trailer Pack DLC receiving the new location for free.

ETS 2’s v1.48 update has yet to receive a release date, however, but the Feldbinder Trailer Pack is available to purchase now for PC via Steam for £3.29/3,99€/ $3.99.

Are you looking forward to delivering to the Winsen Feldbinder factory in ETS 2? Would you like to see more real-world companies in-game? Let us know in the comments below.
