Euro Truck Simulator 2’s popularity has continued to rise since the release of its Nordic Horizons DLC.
Released in 2012, SCS Software’s trucking title has consistently been one of the most played games on the platform, and last weekend it set a new concurrent player record.

ETS 2 garnered 72,678 concurrent players on Sunday (30th November 2025), a new high for the Czech studio, easily making it the most popular driving game on PC.
Not only that, but both the Nordic Horizons DLC and ETS 2 were the top two biggest-selling pieces of content on Steam, placing ahead of the perennially-popular Counter Strike 2.
The game’s enduring success is surely good news for SCS as it plans to release PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of ETS 2 in 2026, with the upcoming Coaches DLC also set to add an interesting new game mechanic focusing on mass transport.
