Another electric truck has been added to Euro Truck Simulator 2, with the DAF XF Electric, joining the game’s incumbent Renault Trucks E-Tech T and BEV Scania 40 S and 45 S models.
DAF is a Dutch company operating under the PACCAR family of truck brands, which also includes American firms Peterbilt and Kenworth. The XF uses PACCAR’s fully electric drive system, utilising five battery packs to create a total capacity of 525 kWh.
The DAF XF Electric is a free download for all ETS 2 players, and can be accessed via the Quick Jobs menu, although virtual truckers are advised that it may take some time for the relevant job to appear in-game.
Although the real-world DAF XF reportedly has a range of around 500 Km, in-game deliveries are limited to just 350 Km, owing to the lack of charging infrastructure in ETS 2, which developer SCS Software is currently (!) working on.

As a result, if you run out of charge mid-delivery, an emergency recharging service is available, free of charge (!).
SCS Software has been hard at work on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of both ETS 2 and American Truck Simulator recently, with early indications suggesting the console ports will be released sometime in 2026.
