EA SPORTS WRC’s Hard Chargers pack will be detailed on Tuesday 18th March 2025.

This is the final, so far, set of new content announced for the game, developed by Codemasters as the official FIA World Rally Championship title.

Across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, this DLC pack will include two main stage environments:

  • Rally Sweden – Umea (10.08 km) & Umea Sprint (5.16 km)
  • EKO Acropolis Rally Greece – Harvati (14.42 km)

That much is already known, but what is unclear, until now, is what additional cars will be included.

A post on the game’s YouTube channel provides the answer for at least one vehicle:

  • Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC

This model was used for five seasons between 2017 and 2021 – before being superseded by the Hyundai currently used in WRC and part of the Rally1 class in-game.

It took the Korean car manufacturer to its first (and second) manufacturers’ crown, in 2019 and 2020. Dani Sordo, Ott Tanak and reigning WRC champion Thierry Neuville won behind the wheel of this model. Other notable drivers include Oliver Solberg, Craig Breen, Hayden Paddon and Sébastien Loeb.

It will fit into the rally sim’s WRC 2017-2021 category, alongside the Ford Fiesta, Volkswagen Polo and Citroën C3.

Loeb made up part of the most-recent DLC pack, Le Maestros, if only in spirit, which featured six new cars alongside the stages, Moments and liveries.

“Similar to Le Maestros, Hard Chargers will pay tribute to the heroes of rally, and we will share more information closer to release,” said Electronic Arts at its Janaury launch.

Between Le Maestros’ unveiling and its on-sale date, there were roughly around 10 days. If following a similar cadence, that would peg the Hard Chargers release before the end of March.
