Only two weeks remain in iRacing 2023 Season 1, and while the platform continues to tease us over potential new content coming in Season 2, we’ve still got our focus on their new content from Season 1, the Toyota GR86 Cup. Well, at least Dave Cam still does, anyway.
This season, Dave is running the full official schedule of the iRacing GR Cup Series, a fixed Toyota GR86 series that travels to multiple road racing venues across the iRacing service. This inaugural calendar for the official GR Cup series has been quite fun, and today is no different.
Today, Dave and the Top Split racers are taking on Road America, a 4.048-mile (6.515-kilometers) course located in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. This long, fun 14 corner track gives us a fantastic mix of technical turns with pack racing. Having speed will still be key, but so will knowing how to play the virtual chess match.
Dave has slipped down to 18th overall in the world on the iRacing service, which is still pretty good, but he knows it can be even better if he can get back into victory lane again this week. He’ll be starting from the pole position today, but can Dave add a fourth win, or at the minimum, keep his Top 5 streak alive?
