- Explosive racing video game Wreckreation will release on 28th October 2025
- This will be five years since its initial unveiling
- Ambitious open-world game from former Burnout creators
For a moment there, it was as if Wreckreation had vanished without site, but following confirmation earlier this year that the open-world racing game was “very much alive and in active development”, several recent teasers have culminated in a 28th October 2025 release date.
The crash-fest, high-speed, driving title was first unveiled in 2020, creators Three Fields Entertainment confirming at the time that its planned sequel to 2019’s Dangerous Driving had expanded in scope.
Wreckreation is set to feature a 400 square kilometre (150 square mile) environment, where people can team up with friends online and alter the environment.
Think of it like a track editor or creator, but happening in real-time in front of multiplayer drivers. This is known as the Live Mix feature, using the Game DJ to add jumps, turns, ramps and environmental features.
Other elements such as weather, time of day and traffic density can also be changed on the fly.
