What do you get when you merge Call of Duty – Activision’s incredibly popular first-person shooter game – with a Formula 1-esque map called the Marina Bay Grand Prix? Well, something reminiscent of a real-world Singapore Grand Prix, actually.

The latest era of CoD not only will include advanced AI, global campaigns and immersive multiplayer content, but it also affords a vacation to the Marina Bay Grand Prix: a breath-taking, yet apocalyptic, new map for teams to tear up in a 6v6 battle.

Do you think someone at developer Infinity Ward has been watching too much Drive to Survive?

Though the trailer shows an aerial view of the stunning circuit filled with flying cars, fiery pitlanes and even a festive Ferris Wheel, gamers most likely won’t be driving any vehicles while carrying a machine gun in the passenger seat. That would be cool, though, right?

The detail, all non-licenced, is particularly impressive, which is important considering players should be able to traverse in amongst the pit garage and out on the track, which is adorned with safety cars and single-seater racers.

Marina Bay is the named location of the real-world Singapore Grand Prix, and references to Singapore can be found on some of the pitlane signage. The footage of the cars driving around the track does also remind us of Turn 23, too.

Elsewhere, players are said to be able to tap into the Warzone experience, which promises to be an epic advancement of Battle Royale with a twist – a brand-new play space and sandbox mode.
