The team behind the upcoming racing game titled Forza Motorsport unveiled their cover star cars on Thursday (25th May) in the form of two General Motors behemoths of the current day and near future.

The 2023 No. 01 Cadillac Racing V-Series.R and the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray are the two cars that will adorn the cover pack art of the game.

The leading Cadillac currently participates in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship Series, under the Chip Ganassi Racing banner, and recently they were winners at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca earlier this month.

As for the E-Ray, it’s Chevrolet’s first electrified Corvette, and per the official Chevrolet website, it boasts an “e-AWD system that works in tandem with its LT2 V8 engine”. This thing looks sharp.

It’s interesting to note that a few months ago, after the initial car list release for the base game, there was a revision that removed a half-dozen cars from the initial listing. The older 2021 Cadillac #31 Whelen Racing DPi-V.R was one of those cars removed.

That older Action Express Caddy was certainly a looker, but one has to wonder if that decision had anything to do with this Cadillac Racing / Chip Ganassi Racing cover star obviously now coming to the title. Who knows besides the folks at Turn 10 Studios.

It says in the social media posting that we will find out more about these cars in both the Xbox Games Showcase on 11th June, which will give an “up-close look at the cars”.

Also, there will be “a full walkthrough” of the Forza Motorsport single player career gameplay during a special Forza Monthly on 13th June.

Forza Motorsport still doesn’t yet have an exact release date yet, we just know that it is coming in 2023. When we find out more, we will let you know.
