Would Automobilista 2 work well as a console game?

It was announced on Wednesday (18th May 2022) via a blog post that the popular Brazilian racing scene simulation, Automobilista 2, will be joining the ranks over at Simracing.GP. Working together with Reiza Studios, the AMS2 servers are online for Simracing.GP members and league runners to utilize on their community platform.

Joining alongside Assetto Corsa Competizione, Assetto Corsa and the RaceRoom Racing Experience, AMS2 becomes the fourth sim platform to have a place for Simracing.GP users to compete on.

Simracing.GP is a community-type of platform that you can sign up for free on. All you need is an email address and an active Steam account to link. People can host events and leagues through their dedicated servers, and reminds me a little of the SMS Lobby for those who toughed out the post-Sierra lobby years of NR2003.

While they do expect a few hiccups on the launch, as they’ve had with other simulators, Simracing.GP is hoping to have things sorted as fast and as smoothly as possible. On 1st June, there will be a launch event, a mock 24 hours at the Nurburgring on the AMS2 platform.

Check it all out at Simracing.GP. For those who play Automobilista 2 or run communities through AMS2, what do you think about this news? Let us know in the comments!
