We may not even be into 2023 just yet, but earlier on Wednesday (7th December 2022), EA Sports and the folks at Audi announced that the launch livery for the future Audi team, which will join the Formula 1 ranks in 2026, is now available to drive through the VIP edition of the F1 22 Podium Pass for Series 4.
Their intentions originally announced back in August, we now know that German manufacturer with four rings plans to enter the series together with Sauber in 2026. The original announcement came with a special eye-opening livery. Now that awesome livery will be included in this year’s official F1 video game.
The F1 22 version looks nearly identical to the show car that was brought to Spa-Francorchamps in August. “Our show car has caused quite a stir from the very first moment with its striking design and the color scheme that is typical of Audi in motorsport,” said said Henrik Wenders, Head of Brand Audi.
“We are excited to deliver the stunning launch livery to EA Sports F1 22 players as part of Podium Pass Series 4, allowing Audi to establish itself as a title contender in the virtual world ahead of its debut in 2026,” said Paul Jeal, F1 Senior Franchise Director at Codemasters.
Audi’s special livery will be available to those subscribed to the Podium Pass Series 4 VIP tier. A total of 30 levels will be available in the newest Podium Pass, and it will run from 7th December until 14th January.
In those 30 levels, there will be some free content that can be unlocked. Those who aren’t on the VIP Podium Pass can still get their hands on McLaren’s ‘Future Mode’ livery that we mentioned is being added to the game yesterday, the same one they brought to Singapore and Japan earlier this season.
Outside of the Podium Pass, there will also be some Christmas-themed prizes for just merely logging into the game. This promotion runs from the 19th to the 22nd of December and the rewards will be found within the in-game messages area.
F1 22’s Podium Pass Series 4 is live now for all players on Xbox, PlayStation and PC.
