Embryonic sim racing game Rennsport first confirmed McLaren cars 17 months ago. Since then, radio silence, until today, 12th August 2025 when it has confirmed the 720S GT3.
Coming days after images and video of the 2026-spec Porsche 911 GT3 R, making it the first virtual platform to showcase the model, comes the mid-engine sportscar from Woking.

The model was first launched in the real-world in 2018, before an ‘Evo’ upgrade was launched in 2023, with noticeable extra aero appendages. We think we can spot the Evo’s canards through the shadowy teaser.
One of these sleek racers recently took pole position at the Nürburgring DTM round and so far taken two race wins in GT World Challenge Europe this season.
It does not appear on a virtual racetrack, but rather a dark silhouette is shown via a social media post.

Rennsport does not yet have a confirmed release date, although its European and Japanese publishers have both stated a September 2025 window. It is set to feature a mix of real-world and fictional race circuits, scenario-based single-player events and cross-platform multiplayer.
