Assetto Corsa EVO update live – adds Fuji, two cars and six special events

Version 0.1.6 is the first ‘content drop’ for Assetto Corsa EVO, with more significant changes expected in the next update. Still, a Lancia, Lamborghini, special events and Fuji Speedway are all welcome additions.

The Assetto Corsa EVO roadmap is one more step along, as ‘Content Drop 1’ is here, adding two cars, a track and a spate of small tweaks to the early access driving simulation.

First up, as telegraphed, there are the Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evo II and Lamborghini Huracán STO vehicles.

The Lancia is a diminutive hot hatch, with all-wheel-drive and a turbocharger, created primarily so the Italian brand could go rallying. It did, and won. A lot. Six titles in a row, in fact, using various iterations on the Delta, this being the final EVO II spec.

Unexpectedly, the prototype for the never-produced ‘EVO III’ is included alongside the ‘Edizione Finale’ run-out special.

The Lamborghini meanwhile, is the most hardcore, two-wheel-drive, version of the Huracán, with a racing-style aerodynamic package. Both new additions are available in a range of different colour combinations. Seatbelt and headrest colour can be selected for the Lamborghini.

We’ve updated our complete AC EVO car list with these new options.

Then there’s the track, Fuji Speedway, former host to the Japanese Grand Prix. Like every venue in EVO, there’s dynamic weather. It comes in two layouts, Grand Prix and then ‘GP Short’ which omits the Turn 11 chicane.

Elsewhere, the changes are relatively minor, with replays, enhanced VR and triple-screen support not expected until the second major update later this year.

That being said, this Version 0.1.6 update does claim to add “general improvements” to AI-controlled rival behaviour, enhanced shadows and a new display at the end of special events. The full list is below.

Assetto Corsa EVO new roadmap

There are six new Special Events added to the sim, all below the existing ones in the menu. Each is a ‘hotstint’ challenge

Also of note is an “updated roadmap”, but no details have changed. In-game, it now simply says “new” on ‘Content Drop 1’. The full patch notes are below and you can also watch us experience the changes live on YouTube.
