Sim racers rejoice: today marks the long-awaited release of Assetto Corsa EVO on Steam Early Access.
With the updated Steam page live, we now know Assetto Corsa EVO’s file size. Thankfully, you won’t need to clear too much space – at least not yet.
Originally, the Steam page suggested you’ll need 100GB of hard drive space to install Assetto Corsa EVO. However, this is not the case for the initial build, which requires 38.98GB to install after a 14GB download.
Keep in mind, though, that the file size will increase as more cars, tracks and features are added in new builds in the run-up to the final 1.0 release expected later this year. The system requirements still say you’ll need 100GB of storage, so this may be the case for the final release.
Out now in Early Access, Assetto Corsa EVO retails for £32.99 / €39.99 /$39.99, with a 20 per cent discount reducing the price to £22.49 / $24.99 / €24.99 between now (16th) and 30th January.
The first Early Access build includes 20 cars, five tracks and single-player practice and quick race modes, as well as VR and triple-screen support. Multiplayer is not available at launch, while the free-roam environment recreating Germany’s Eifel region surrounding the Nurburgring is expected to arrive this Summer.
