Assetto Corsa EVO’s car roster continues to grow ahead of its next pivotal early access game update.
This time, it’s the first GT4-class race car for the third title in the series. Following the popular Assetto Corsa Competizione series spin-off, which was focused on GT-style race cars only, EVO’s initial launch had a paucity of similar vehicles.
However, it has added two GT2-spec cars, the Mercedes-AMG and Maserati MC20, features the Porsche Carrera and BMW M2 cup cars and will add its first GT3-spec machine (BMW M4 Evo) during the same 0.3 update as the first GT4 offering.
It features a mid-mounted 3.8-litre straight-six engine mated to a six-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. In the real world, there’s also a more powerful RS Clubsport model for one-make series use, although that doesn’t appear to be present here.
It will join the aforementioned BMW M4 GT3 Evo, BMW M3 (E30) and Dallara Stradale as new content, plus the Red Bull Ring and Spa-Francorchamps.
Perhaps even more importantly, the same update will add the first stages of online multiplayer and revisions to the tyre model.
The full list of what’s been announced for this update so far is listed below. A release date has not yet been confirmed, although it is expected within the next few weeks.
