Assetto Corsa Competizione's latest Xbox update prevents wheel use

Update – 30th July

Traxion has been in contact with ACC’s publisher, 505 Games, and received confirmation that a fix is being investigated.

Original article

Some 11 months after they hit PC, real-world 2024-season GT World Challenge liveries, teams and driver names just hit the console version of Assetto Corsa Competizione today, 29th July 2025.

Sadly, for those on Xbox Series X|S, this appears to be preventing the use of a racing steering wheel.

Across social media, users are reporting that Thrustmaster, Logitech and Moza Racing devices do not function when Competizione is launched – locking into position and then gently rocking back and forth, preventing on-track action.

The surprise console update arrived after creator Kunos Simulazioni is considering updating ACC “until EVO is ready to take the seat.”

No patch notes have been published on the title’s publisher – 505 Games – online support pages. The console edition of ACC is ported by the external agency, Untold Games.

Traxion has contacted 505 this evening and will update this article if a response is received. We hope a hotfix is deployed soon.

  1. Not sure if this helps but it also happens on fanatec products. Another bug I had prior to this update was when I flipped the telemetry on the bottom left screen(the grid positon, car controls) the throttle cuts out when im flipping through each option, not sure if anyone else has this issue. I currently run fanstec dd1, xbox universal hub v2 and clubsport v3 pedals on xbox series x
