Moza Racing has once again collaborated with sim racing platform Simracing.GP in creating a new esports competition.
Using Kunos Simulazioni’s Assetto Corsa Competizione title on PC, the ‘Moza Challenge’ runs from July to December, with six seasons of racing split into four-week blocks. The announcement comes off the back of Moza and Simracing.GP’s last combined effort, the ‘Moza Endurance League‘, which also included a sim racing-themed podcast.
The first three weeks of each season will feature races catering to three time zones, with winners receiving up to £400 in cash, with other prizes also available.
The best drivers from each season will qualify for the Grand Final on the 23rd of December, where they will duke it out for the £1,500 winner-takes-all first prize, with Moza sim racing products up for grabs as consolation.
“Our joint desire in putting together this series was to create exciting racing with a real opportunity to be rewarded for success,” said Simracing.GP’s Head of Sales and Marketing Adam Eley.
“Moza are a fantastic partner to be working with and are developing a superb reputation in sim racing,” he continued.
It has been a big week for Moza, after the successful release of its budget-friendly R12 Direct Drive Wheelbase and KS Steering Wheel, which we described as a ‘significant step forward’ for the increasingly competitive sim equipment manufacturer.
Extra details on the format and calendar have yet to be revealed, but the Moza Challenge is set to begin on the 8th of July. For more information on the series and to sign up for a free Simracing.GP account, visit the Simracing.GP website.
