  • Five Fords set for inclusion, with DLC available to Wishlist on Steam now

After first being revealed in July 2025, American Truck Simulator’s Road Trip mode has finally been given a release date.

Development of the new game mode, which introduces cars, pickup trucks and SUVs into SCS Software’s trucking title, has significantly ramped up in recent weeks, with several gameplay teasers and even a hands-on reveal at Gamescom, building players’ anticipation levels.

Now, the Czech studio has confirmed Road Trip mode will debut with the Ford Car Pack DLC on 29th September, 2026, and will include four cars, including the 1967 Mustang Fastback, 2023 F-150 pickup and the American policeman’s favourite, the 1998-2012 Ford Crown Victoria.

Road Trip will offer alternative gameplay features for ATS players, including courier jobs and a new exploration mechanic labelled ‘Atlas’, where players are rewarded for discovering tourist boards, points of interest, viewpoints and photo trophy locations.

In time, the Ford Car Pack will be joined by the RAM & Dodge Car Pack DLC, with other manufacturers hopefully set for announcement later.
