American Truck Simulator’s Arkansas map expansion is set to be released on the 16th of September, according to developer SCS Software.
Announced almost exactly one year ago, the Arkansas DLC will bring “The Natural State’s” verdant woodlands, boggy bayous and urban conurbations to ATS, alongside all the requisite business opportunities they entail.
The Southern state borders six others; including Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi and Missouri, and features mountainous areas in the north (part of the US’ Interior Highlands) and vast forests in the South.
Arkansas’s capital city, Little Rock, has a population of just over 200,000 and is bisected by the Arkansas River, providing numerous outdoor recreational activities like white water rafting, as well as plenty of pretty-looking bridges, as shown below.
ATS is currently in its v1.51 Open Beta phase with a full update expected shortly. Improvements expected to land with the Arkansas DLC include custom depots featuring dynamic loading and unloading animations for cargoes like woodchippings, grains and seeds, as well as three new Special Transport missions (for owners of ATS’ Special Transport DLC only).
American Truck Simulator’s Arkansas DLC is available to Wishlist on Steam now.
