Rennsport’s online multiplayer disabled for Xbox Deluxe Edition players

• Rennsport’s Deluxe Edition launches today, but online multiplayer is currently unplayable on Xbox Series X|S
• “Xbox services are temporarily limited” until a day one patch is approved, with the Xbox launch issues expected to be “sorted soon”
• Single-player AI will also be improved in the day-one patch

Rennsport launches today (10^th November) for those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition, which includes 72-hour early access ahead of the general launch.

While there is a single-player campaign, Rennsport is an online-focused racing simulation, with ranked races and cross-play support across PC, PlayStation and Xbox. An online connection is also required.  

It’s a tantalising prospect on consoles, where realistic racing simulations are not widely available. Unfortunately, the Xbox launch is off to a shaky start, with the online multiplayer currently inaccessible for Xbox Series X|S players who purchased the Deluxe Edition.  

“Online multiplayer for Xbox is temporarily disabled while we wait for the latest Day 01 Patch,” an announcement on Rennsport’s official social media channels reads, adding that “approval is nearly complete.”

Meanwhile, the PS5 and PC versions remain unaffected, with online multiplayer available on these platforms. On Xbox, players can still compare lap times in online Time Trial leaderboards or access the single-player championship, with progress carrying over online.  

There’s no timeframe yet for when online multiplayer will be enabled on Xbox, with the patch also expected to improve the AI in single-player races. Hopefully, it will be resolved in time for the general launch on  13th November, but that’s little consolation for those who paid extra for the Deluxe Edition to access the game earlier.

Xbox players are also reporting issues with wheel support on Xbox, with some experiencing no force feedback on Fanatec wheels.
