The Crew Motorfest Season 8: Everything you need to know

Launching today (5th November), The Crew Motorfest Season 8 brings long-requested customisation options, 21 new cars and an underground street racing playlist.

The Crew Motorfest Season 8 everything you need to know
  • Two new playlists: Street Riders (5th November, 2025) and BMW (7th January, 2026)
  • 21 new cars
  • Friend Pass lets players invite friends to try The Crew Motorfest for free
  • Steam Deck Verified

Today (5th November) sees the launch of The Crew Motorfest Season 8, marking the start of the open-world racer’s Year 3 updates.

It’s a packed season, with two new playlists, 21 new cars and long-requested customisation features alongside a raft of gameplay improvements.

Street Riders playlist

Headlining Season 8 is a new ‘Street Riders’ playlist. Filling the void of a new Need for Speed game, it sees you join an underground street racing gang called the Monkey’s Kitchen with a BMW M3 E46, which you extensively modify as the Playlist progresses.

Hands-on The Crew Motorfest challenges Need for Speed with deeper car customisation

New Free Race events remove GPS and markers, allowing you to utilise the environment and take unconventional routes as you race to the finish line.

Before each race starts, you can also accept bets from the Monkey’s, challenging you to complete objectives such as racing in the cockpit camera or against more difficult AI opponents. Winning bets will unlock exclusive rewards at the end of each event.

  • Eight Main Events
  • 25 Challenges
  • Six Feats
  • Two Photo Ops
  • Playlist reward: BMW M2

You can read our hands-on impressions of the Street Riders Playlist here.

Branded rims and stance customisation

Another highlight is the expanded customisation.

In response to player feedback, Season 8 introduces over 40 branded rims from brands like BBS Motorsport, HRE and OZ Racing. Available for Street, Drift and Hypercar class cars, all rims are fully customisable, with colour and material options.

The Crew Motorfest Season 8 wheel customisation

Even Ferraris can be fitted with custom rims, despite the brand being notoriously strict about customising its cars with aftermarket parts in video games.

Furthermore, you can now adjust your car’s stance, often with outlandish results.

BMW playlist coming in January 2026

Launching on 7th January, a second playlist will celebrate the history of BMW Motorsport across seven events. Like Season 7’s love letter to Ferrari, it will feature live-action videos, this time filmed at the BMW Museum with insights from BMW Group Classic’s Marc Thiesbürger and Spanish racing driver Anna Simón.

New BMW M2 CS in The Crew Motorfest

A celebratory prologue event will mix cars from 1975 to 2024, with subsequent events focusing on iconic BMW eras in chronological order.

21 new cars

Season 8 brings 21 new cars to the roster, including the video game debut of the new-generation BMW M2 CS sports coupe. Some can be won as Playlist rewards, while others can be accessed early in the Year 3 Pass before they are added to the in-game shop.

New features and quality of life improvements

For those who have yet to play The Crew Motorfest, a new Friend Pass feature lets you invite up to three friends to join a session and play a trial version of Ubisoft’s open-world racer for free with no time limits.

There are also new ranked Grand Races and a new ‘Look for Crew’ feature for finding teammates. From 5th November, The Crew Motorfest is officially verified on Steam Deck, meaning the game is fully optimised for the portable PC.
