The FIA has launched another community survey, the results of which the organising body will use to continue the development of esports as a whole.
Following the 2023 edition, the FIA incorporated esports into its comprehensive FIA International Sporting Code, which encompasses the full spectrum of worldwide motorsport disciplines. This was then used during the 2024 FIA Motorsport Games, where esports races were conducted using both iRacing and Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Since the first FIA Esports Community Survey, the FIA has also launched a free 12-month iRacing subscription offer for new members, which includes access to the FIA F4 car. All in all, each national motorsport body was given 2,000 free subscriptions at a projected value of $40m, greatly enhancing grassroots access to sim racing.
It is hoped that the 2025 survey will continue to inform and shape the way the FIA attempts to grow esports in the future, taking into consideration the emergence of new sims, like Le Mans Ultimate, and the raft of more accessible hardware.

This will then feed through into National Sporting Authorities (such as Motorsport UK), giving organising bodies a better understanding of what sim racers want to see in the world of competitive online racing.
Results will be released before the end of 2025, with all participants encouraged to leave additional feedback to help the FIA’s understanding of esports in the present and in the future.
