Marco Massarutto and Stefano Casillo are back working together, as the latter rejoins Assetto Corsa EVO developer Kunos Simulazioni at a pivotal time.
The duo co-founded the simulation driving outfit, creating the likes of netKar Pro, Ferrari Virtual Academy and perhaps most notably, Assetto Corsa and Assetto Corsa Competizione.
Casillo was the studio’s Lead Programmer from late 2004 until just over four years ago, a period including the sale of Kunos to Digital Bros. in March 2017 for €4.3 million.

The Italian left the company in April 2020 with “no friction and no bad feeling coming from my decision.”
“At a certain point I started to feel like I had nothing more to give to the sim racing genre and it was time for me to go look for new inspirations,” he said at the time.
