But, it is also working on a new native ranked system inside the title.
“The project is grown, and what I can say is that the timeframe we have [is that] we will release in Q2 – this will happen,” said Christian Baur, Director of Strategy and Sales at RaceRoom on the latest episode of the outfit’s Grid Talk programme.
“We are getting close to a beta,” said Jean-François Chardon, Head of Studio.
“[For special events] we will no longer require you to go through a time attack leaderboard or a Google Form on Discord.
“All the backend is now done. We have the registration system, we have the server spawning system and everything that creates grids and spreads the players by rating is in place.
“The only thing now is the visuals, and we are finishing the last touches of the UI.”
This follows work-in-progress images of the user interface, published in December. All that remains is to imagine ranked racing with classic DTM or Super Touring content. Sign us up, please!
