Mere days before the ‘holiday season’ and following a Black Friday sale, a new handbrake and a limited-edition Red Bull Racing wheel, Fanatec’s roll continues with its ClubSport Podium Steering Wheel GT3 Endurance.
This is a brand new series-production sim racing wheel, consisting of a fresh wheel rim and the long-established Podium Button Module Endurance.
In essence, this is a GT-racing-themed wheel rim, first and foremost, for the existing button module. The two parts combined create a wheel, and Fanatec will sell you the parts separately or as a bundle, which is listed as a complete ‘wheel’.
That bundle also includes the Podium Advanced Paddle Module for gearshifts and the Podium Hub. Assemble the parts and you have an entirely new wheel, or just pick up the rim for an existing set-up.
The design is ‘flatter’ compared the the German company’s existing wheel rims with GT3 racing in mind, for a more contemporary look – compared to the GT World Challenge and Porsche 911 GT3 R models.
It’s reminiscent of the McLaren GT3 V2 wheel, although that is under the more affordable CSL Elite sub-brand.
