A brand new series has arrived within Forza Horizon 5, as Horizon Creatives celebrates the addition of an improved Event Lab 2.0.
The series prize cars are the ‘epic’ Porsche 911C2 Gunther Works (GW) for 160 points and the new-to-Forza Horizon 5, but returning from older Forza games, ‘rare’ BMW 850CSi.
Then, for this week, summer – wet season, specifically, you can pick up the ‘rare’ Mercedes-Benz AMG GT for 40 points and the brand spanking new ‘epic’ BMW M3 2021 for just 20 points.
Treasure Hunt Horizon Rush Treasure Stunt
Tying in with the launch of Event Lab 2.0 – where Forza Horizon 5 players can create ever-more outlandish customised challenges – this week’s Treasure Hunt is actually a Treasure Stunt, entitled ‘Horizon Rush’.
The clue reads that you must ‘head east’ from the Horizon Rush Festival Site along the Copper Canyon. From there, there’s a hidden Treasure Stunt course, which needs completing.
The event is perhaps further away from the festival site than initially appreciated as it’s on the other side of the valley, past the train line. Head for the ‘Copper Canyon’ area and a large red dot will appear on the map.
Just north of the main road here, you can see the giant blocks that make up the challenge, and the event entry starts from the east side.
Important note, you can complete this Treasure Stunt challenge in any car, we did it in a Subaru Impreza, the game icon has an RTR Ford Bronco, but take your pick.
Once you’ve found the entrance to the set-up, build up enough speed to make the first jump and follow the arrows around tight turns and over gaps atop building blocks.
At the end of the short route – and there’s no time limit or on-screen UI prompt that you’re taking part in the event – sat on a ramp is the Treasure Chest. Simply speed through it, smashing it into oblivion and the 100,000 credits will be yours.
The challenge will now have a gold sheen to it in the Festival Playlist. Congratulations.
Photo Challenge #SPACEPROJECT
Unlike the Treasure Stunt, this week’s Photo Challenge #SPACEPROJECT definitely requires a specific car – the 2021 Mercedes-AMG ONE.
If you don’t own one, then handily, it’s available from this week’s #FORZATHON Shop (more on that below).
Once you’re in the appropriate vehicle, you need to find the Gran Telescopio on the Mexican map. It’s located in the west of the map, north of La Gran Caldera. There’s the Las Dunas Cross Country event right there.
The telescope is quite large, but there’s a gravel round running up to it, perfect for you to snap a pic f the AMG with it in the background.
Simply drive up to the area, open the camera app by using up on the D-pad and tap A to snap the picture to gain the rewards
The reward? A ‘to the moon’ Forza Link item. See what they did there? You can equip this by visiting the customisation menu.
