A quick lap around Daytona Int’l Speedway is the first official “early gameplay” from Motorsport Games for their upcoming NASCAR 21: Ignition video game.
Yes, we did see a brief amount of gameplay in the first “Dev Diary” a few days ago, but this is a straight up 50-second clip of a lap from a car in race conditions at this weekend’s host to the NASCAR Cup Series in real life.
A LAP AROUND DAYTONA WITH THE MOTORSPORT GAMES CAR
On board the roof of BJ McLeod’s No. 78 Motorsport Games Ford, Kevin Harvick’s No. 4 Mobil 1 Ford is directly ahead. There are some cars in a pack a few more second ahead of that. Even though McLeod gets a run on Harvick, he doesn’t take it and instead uses the air to push Harvick forward.
A few key elements of the video include the visuals and the sounds. What stood out to me was the sound of the cars and the air in the video. As the No. 78 closed in on the No. 4, the sound of Harvick’s car grew louder. As McLeod battled some turbulent air, you could hear it as it hit his car.
