How to join a convoy in Forza Horizon 6 on PC

Convoys have always been a staple of the Forza Horizon series, where you can join a session with your friends and muck about in free-roam, or compete within the same events.

With Forza Horizon 6, however, trying to join one with your friends can be confusing. Here’s how you can join a convoy with your friends in Forza Horizon 6.

Setting up a convoy

Regardless of the platform you’re using, one player must create a convoy in-game. To do this, pause the game and press Y (or Triangle if using a PlayStation controller). Then select Create a Convoy and pick Friends Only as the convoy type.

You can choose a different convoy type if you would like uninvited members to join, too. Once this is set up, return to freeroam.

Steam

Once the convoy has been set up and you’re using Steam, you can then join your friends’ session.

To do this, press Shift+Tab, then click the Friends icon at the bottom to bring up the Friends & Chat window.

You then need to right-click your friend who is a member of the convoy and click Join Game. When returning to freeroam, you should now be a member of the convoy.

Xbox / Microsoft Store

If you’re running the game through the Xbox app or Microsoft Store, open up the Xbox application and click on Friends at the bottom right to bring up your list of friends.

From here, right-click on your friend who is a member of the convoy, then click Join Game. You should now be a member of the convoy when returning to freeroam. This method also works for Steam users.
